Over 2012, we will be hosting a number of families with autism. The families will be with us for 4 days and 3 nights and throughout this time will experience all that we have to offer.
The aim of the camps is to provide a totally natural environment for the families to gain the most out of spending time with the horses and ponies. The area is set out in a way that we can apply the no no's rule. This means that to a degree the child, under the watchful eye of parents, carers and volunteers can play and use the environment to express themselves and hopefully achieve the main aim, which is communication.
All of the activities are for all the family to join in if they wish to. Some of the activities we have to offer during these camps are: painting, horse back riding, trail riding, trampolining, nature walks and pretty much whatever the family wishes to take advantage of whilst spending time with us.
During our camps, the families are invited to set up camp within the surroundings in a tent or caravan. If you have any queries about this please do not hesititate to ask as other options are available. This obviously may take away some of your experience though. Food is provided unless you or your family has a specific diet requirements. Again any queries please get into contact with us!
